Firstly, thank you to Whip Up, The Toy Society, and Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh for the linky love and mentioning Softiemaking.com! Welcome if you have dropped in via these fantastic websites!
Ku of Shishi Girl kindly emailed me about a few other free patterns she has on offer for you! First up, felt fruit - a strawberry (ichigo) and a persimmon (kaki) {image credit for both: Shishi Girl}:

These are easy to make and are hand-sewn. I’m looking forward to making these for my girls’ felt food collection.

Adding to my recent post on Plush Art shows in October, Plush You 2008 is now on at Schmancy in Seattle.
These are just a few of my favourites from the show: Top row (L-R) Sayaki Imai, Yuriko Sera; Bottom row (L-R) SOWA, Robyn Fabsits -

You can see lots more plush art from the show in the Plush You 2008 Flickr set. Well worth going to have a look if you are in the area.

The Softies for Mirabel appeal is hosted by the quintessential hostess with the mostess, Pip of Meet Me At Mikes. The auction component of the appeal is now over but you can still make and donate softies for the Christmas 2008 Appeal.

Go over here for all the FAQs regarding this event including how to donate, where to send your softie, who will receive your softie, and what the Mirabel Foundation is all about. At this stage, if you want to donate to the Christmas Appeal your donation/s will need to be received by the 13th of December.
This is an excellent example of crafting for a cause. And hey - no excuses about not knowing how to make a softie. That is what softiemaking.com is here for! I am sure you will find a softie to make and donate. So get cracking!
