She has provided tutorials on how to make a felt cube softie, a felt bear softie, and felt finger puppets:

The tutorials are in Italian but you can transalate them into English using one of the translation buttons on her website. Also, these projects are quite easy to follow without the transalation and can be purely hand-sewn.

She shares the free pattern and instructions on how to make your own little Summer Traveler softie.This would make a great beginner project and you could re-use felted woollens or fleece (e.g. blankets, jackets).

Quirky Critters has posted up a free pattern and tutorial on how to make this bear on Plush Parade. The pattern is in jpg format and can be easily enlarged as required. There are just 3 template pieces to cut out making him a great beginner project.
